Single 'The Latem' nib No. 2114M by Hinks Wells, Birmingham. Gold plated 'Medium' nib with a straight cut tip and a precise action. Good ink flow with a strong flex to the nib. Ideal for lettering in Roundhand or similar style. Smooth feel across the paper. Fits the William Mitchell and J and T's Multi purpose holder. Shown here fitted to a J an T's Multi pen holder. Showing top and underside of the nib. Indication of the nib style. These nibs are stamped Hinks Wells which suggests they were made before 1920 (see below) HinksWells box British Pens Ltd was the Company name given to the joining of some well known pen manufacturers in about 1920. These firms included William Mitchell and HinksWells, by the 1930's they were the second largest pen makers in England. William Mitchell were renown for making lettering pens, HinksWells for Lettering and Artists pens
